Duties & Responsibilities:

• Virtual Design Review Audit (VDRA) responses, both L5 and L3 issues
• EHD updates including Pricing Arrangements (PACN), print changes, order audits, order updates.
• Product Support inquires – model issues, TMI package data, BoM or configuration issues.
• Technical Construction File (TCF) updates for marine & Gas products
• Ensure accurate BoMs for all managed pricelists by maintaining EHDs up to date.
• Create new pricing arrangements and update existing as necessary ensuring pricelists drive accurate material list on orders.
• Work with marketing and product definition teams on pricelist updates and help route PLCNs as necessary.
• Provide support for shop issues by investigating, coordinating with L3s, identifying RCCA and providing ICA.
• Help manage AQEs, drive PCA resolution, regularly update and report out AQE metrics.
• Resolve open VDRA issues, actively work to close them, and reduce issue count.
• Attend daily operations meeting to meet customer demands.
• Assist with conducting assembly fit ups of new or revised designs to ensure acceptability.
• Review and update internal quality documentation and metrics for MESA alerts, AQE-s etc.
• Coordinate conducting virtual and physical fit-ups to validate design changes before implementing in pricelist.
• Serve as a liaison between the Lafayette factory, control panel suppliers, and the product engineering group to support production issues related to the genset control system, by evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving manufacturing problems.
• Complete rework, diagnosis, and updates, as required to support the Lafayette factory production line.
• Complete flashing and configuration of ECM modules, as required by production needs.
• Act as a point of contact for outside controls panel suppliers, specifically when addressing production issues.
• Provide support to generator set test cells in the diagnosis and resolution of generator set functionality issues.
• Use technical expertise and product knowledge to resolve issues by interfacing with engineers, service representatives, plant personnel, suppliers, and consultants.

Required Skills: 

• Prior Genset package experience.
• Preferably Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and/or electrical/electronic aptitude,
• experience on Virtual auditing, Virtual manufacturing as added advantage
• Experience working with power generation and/or power distribution systems.
• Should have hands on experience on VISMOCKUP tool.
• Should have hands on experience on Creo tool.
• Should have experience in Virtual Validation, Virtual Audits and reviews, VDRA for Pricelist is an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Plant and Manufacturing Process is added advantage.
• Must have Hands on experience on Caterpillar related tools HVC, EDS, Team center.
• Proactively seeks opportunity to build their knowledge and experience.
• Proactive and highly energetic in executing the tasks efficiently with in timelines by resolving the issues.
• Controls system design experience
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• PACN, PLCN, CTS (Change Tracking System) familiarity
• SAP, EOMP, CSQ, Shop change/Green sheet familiarity.

Education/Experience :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science/Electrical/ Mechanical or relevant field required.
• 3 years of experience in relevant field
